Sandher Fruit Packing

Krueger Electric was awarded the contract for Sandher Fruit Packing’s new plant in Kelowna.

Our Work

The job size was 2500 amps, 600 volts to supply a building that stores apples and cherries in CA rooms. CA rooms are rooms that store fruit that can be held for a long period of time in peak conditions. Each room (40 feet wide, 80 feet deep, 27 feet high with a sealed door) is completely separate from the others. The building was comprised of 20 CA rooms, 3 cooling storage areas, and one sorting and packaging room. Our job was to supply power and controls for the building inside and outside. This included fire alarms, emergency and exit lights, overhead doors, heating and exhaust and loading ramps.
